Mandy Maredza visited Imperial College London and the University of York

In July 2015, Mandy Maredza visited Imperial College London and the University of York, where she attended a specialist workshop on using geographic information systems to present and analyse public health data. For Mandy, this course is critical.

“Much of what we do is complicated to an everyday person, but a picture is worth a thousand words; even non-technical people are inclined to try and make sense of a pretty picture unlike a complicated graph.”

At York University she had the opportunity to pitch her research work and network with postdoctoral candidates who are also conducting their research in African settings.
